A practical operating partner for companies tired of AI hype.
Tradewind was created to help established companies find commercially useful applications for automation, install them responsibly, and measure what changes.
Start with the commercial opportunity, then choose the mechanism.
Many companies are being sold technology before anyone has defined the operating problem, the human boundaries, or the measure of success. Tradewind works in the opposite order.
The first job is to find where revenue or information is being lost. The next job is to design a system that fits the existing operation. AI is used only where it improves that system.
How Tradewind works
- Diagnose before prescribing
- Start with one measurable workflow
- Keep judgment with experienced people
- Document the system and the success criteria
- Measure commercial outcomes, not novelty

Built by an Operator Who Sees What Others Miss
Toby Hanson, Founder
Toby Hanson is an entrepreneur and business strategist who helps established companies uncover hidden opportunity, strengthen operations, and build more profitable, scalable businesses.
Working alongside local business owners, contractors, and industry leaders taught Toby something that is easy to miss from outside the operation: trade businesses rarely struggle because their teams are not working hard enough. More often, revenue is lost in the gaps between people, processes, and disconnected systems.
A missed call goes unanswered. A new lead waits too long for a response. An estimate receives no follow-up. A past customer who is due for service never hears from the company. The information needed to catch these opportunities exists, but it is scattered across tools that rarely tell the owner what needs attention next.
These breakdowns do not appear as a single line on the profit and loss statement. They simply reduce the return on leads, relationships, and reputation the business has already worked to create.
Toby founded Tradewind Automations to close those gaps. The approach begins with the operating problem, not the technology: identify where revenue is leaking, prioritize the highest-value opportunity, and install one working system at a time around the company's existing team and tools.
The goal is not to add unnecessary software or chase the latest AI trend. It is to create measurable improvements in response time, follow-up, retention, operational visibility, and recovered revenue while keeping people in control of the decisions that require judgment.
Tradewind builds on Toby's earlier work founding Trusted Contractors Colorado, an industry platform created to help quality contractors grow through stronger operations, greater trust, and more consistent business. Tradewind is the next step in that work: helping established home-service companies capture more value from the opportunities they already generate, then build the operating foundation for what comes next.
